We went down to Chicago to visit my college friends (Nat, Caroline, Christine, Mike & Jenny) for the weekend.  It was quite a good time.  We spent Friday night at Carolines house in Joliet.  Even though everyone was tired from the long day at work and drive, we were up until 2am talking, drinking, eating and drinking some more.

The next day we went over to Christines and took advantage of the nice day by spending it in the pool and on her deck talking, drinking, eating and drinking some more.

Evidently we went right back to college mode, what with all the drinking.  Thankfully, nobody over did it, though.

It was a lot of fun.  Good friends, food and reminiscing.

Last Monday, I had a very nice girls-night-out with my friends, Cindy & Julie (my co-workers from the former foodusa.com). We went to the Melting Pot for Monday Night Ladies Night (cheese fondue w/ dippers, a salad & chocolate fondue w/ dippers for $15 each). It’s definitely an experience you need to have at least once! I can highly recommend the Traditional Swiss Cheese Fondue & the Flaming Turtle Chocolate Fondue. I will definitely go for dessert again sometime, and despite the prices of the Entrees, I think it would be worth it to try a full-blown meal at least once!
